City of Henderson, NC commits to new Recreation Space + Open-Air Market

This piece of land behind me is going to look very different...SOON‼️The City - lead by the efforts of our Mayor, City Manager, and Kendrick Vann of our Recs & Park Dept. - is reclaiming this vacant lot for a newly constructed Park, with an Open-Air Market + Skate Park + Workout Station + future Splash Pad + Shelters! (It's a process, development will be done in 4 phases, and plans like in ANY project may change upon completion.)
ALSO...WE HAVE ALREADY RECEIVED A NATIONAL FITNESS GRANT OF $30,000 FOR THE MODERN OUTSIDE WORKOUT STATION!
A wonderful citizen told me "This is the site of the old hotel and my grandfather's store, T&T Supply Co/High Price Tobacco Warehouse." We hope to make her, our citizens, visitors, and her family proud!
This is simultaneously a Victory for our City, Downtown, and our Eastside Henderson communities! There's more happening...keep following!
